(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Turkish Armed Forces have failed to make any major headway in Al-Bab after seizing much of the area around the western and northern flanks of the city.
Despite the capture of the Shehabi and Al-Rai farms yesterday, the Turkish Armed Forces have repeatedly failed to break-through Al-Bab’s eastern flank.
This failure is due in large part to the Islamic State’s unwillingness to yield Qabasin and Bzaah to the Turkish Armed Forces and their allies in eastern Al-Bab.
On Sunday, the Turkish Army and Free Syrian Army (FSA) attempted to seize Qabasin once again; however, their assault would fall short, as the Islamic State’s defenses proved too much for the Euphrates Shield forces.
According to the Islamic State’s official media, the Euphrates Shield forces lost at least 5 fighters and 1 armored vehicle during their failed advance on Sunday.
Reports from east Aleppo, today, indicate that the Euphrates Shield forces are attacking Bzaah and Qabasin, marking their third assault in 3 days at this key town.
